With its combination of powerful and subtle flavours, Korean food is like no other. Let Gastro Tour Seoul help you taste and explore this complex, ancient cuisine. We will walk through the heart of the city along Seoul’s new pedestrian pass-way, Seoullo 7017, where passionate locals make the best Korean food – the way it’s been made for centuries. On the way you’ll also learn about some local heritage, history and landmarks.

Joongrim-dong, known to many as the backdrop for some of Koreas most iconic novels, is a town famous for its delicious, traditional food. Enjoy the taste of the Joongrim-dong neighborhood, now more accessible thanks to Seoullo 7017.

Before going to the lunch restaurant we’ll stop at memorial hall of Marathoner Son Ki-Jeong, Yakhyeon Church and pumpkin village through walking tour. After walking tour Joongrim-dong, you will have Korean Traditional beef Soup ‘Seollung Tang’ with assorted parts of beef slices.

“Amazing food off the beaten path!”

When I did this tour I already lived in Korea for a while, so I was quite accustomed with Korean food already. However the food I tasted here was something else! Something special! We started off with budaejjigae, and it was hands down the most delicious budaejjigae I ever tasted.

All the other visits were top notch as well. The jeon-restaurant, the raw fish-place. But what really stood out was that small restaurant hidden near the ‘slums’ which served amazing flavorful food. That was my favorite place and I will definitely visit that restaurant again.

Furthermore, the tour was very nice, Veronica is very knowledgeable, the food was amazing, and the fresh coffee was legit too. I highly recommend this tour!

“True Korean food in a local ‘non-touristic’ area of Seoul!”
Wonderful tour in a more hidden ‘non-touristic’ area of Seoul. During the tour we visited many restaurants which were each completely different. It’s a great way to try different local dishes at local restaurant. Perfect way to explore true Korean food!
